OK, so whenever I put my car into gear, I hear a loud "tink" from the driveshaft. It sometimes repeats itself a few times while accelerating, until I start to level my speed. I started to get annoyed yesterday so I took it to a local transmission shop, and they checked the U-joints, they are fine. So then they started the car, and hoisted it up and put it into gear, it "tinked" again when put into gear. Then they tried holding onto the driveshaft with both hands and decent force, then it stopped doing it. Thye mentioned something about a dampener around the driveshaft that could be hitting itself inside?? Does this make sense?? I was wondering what I should do to correct this??

I had a noise just like that for a while. When ever I would let the clutch out from a dead stop I would get a metallic sound from under the car. I replaced u joints and even a few bushings but the noise was still there. I finally figured out that the noise I was having was coming from the rearend and decided to pull it apart. It turned out to be a huge pit in one of the carrier bearings. Replaced it and now all better. Also, just recently I had another similar sound and found that the two bolts that hold the torque arm were loose and were letting the torque arm slide back and forth against the bolts. I tightened those up and problem is all gone. I hope this helps some.

That sounds like good advice, thanks. Maybe when I get some time and $ I will go back up there and have them pull it apart. It's not hurting anything i am just **** about my car lol.
