jerky throttle...
when im on the interstate around 55 mph and my auto is in 4th, if i give it a little gas to where it wont downshift just to get ahead of a car, the engine acts like its jerking a little bit. its only when i doesnt downshift. it's got 125k on the clock and still has original plugs and wires. i was thinking the plugs could have something to do with it so im going to change them out tomorrow, wish me luck. any other ideas of what it could be?

I've had that happen a few times in the winter when I filled up with a batch of shitty gas (read: water) in my old car. Part throttle and it would hesitate and jerk around, try to stall, etc. Give it full throttle and the thing would clean out. I also had a similar problem when the fuel filter would get clogged up with crap.
I think you're on the right track...take a look at fuel and/or fire to see if anything is out of whack.
