SES light question

What could it mean when my SES light blinks? Ill have my codes run soon, but I want to know now, Im a little impatient. My alternator is getting a bit weak, so Im guessing maybe that?? Which reminds me, anyone have an alternator for sale, cheap?

does it run bad? maybe an o2 code or a random misfire code. hard to tell till you scan it

yeah, it starts sputtering at about 5krpm and backfiring through the tailpipes. I figured it was because it wasnt shooting enough spark at higher rpms

sounds like a front 02 sensor. its not metering the fuel right. causing a lean condition under cruise. but when you hit it itll sputter and look like your fogging for bugs. . however get it scanned to be 110% sure before you throw money at it. and if it is o2s. do not buy the autozone bosch garbage. they are set lean.
