A/C controls help please

I know this isnt a LS1 question but I went to a grandam board and thoes guys seem clueless. So here it goes. The girlfriends has 01 Grand am and her Ac is cold and charged but the blower will not come on untill it is on setting 3. Setting 1 and 2 do not blow air. Has anyone ran into this problem in thier TA or anyone with the same problem in thier Grand AM. Solutions? Can I just replace that control or do I have to do all three. Thanks

You can replace the selector switch. Do not replace the hole HVAC. Just the motor speed control.

nonononono you have a bad blower resistor, you need to get a new resistor. it is under the dash on the left hand side (passenger side). pull the hush panel and it should have i believe a 5 wire connector pluuged into it and 2 wires the plug into the blower motor. remove the bolts and replace.
