tensioner pulley squeking
has anyone ever had a problem with there tensioner pulley squeaking? i replaced my idler pulley not too long ago so im pretty sure its not that and it sounds like it coming from the right side.

yeah, when mine went, it took me a while to figure out exactly what it was. my surp. belt tensioner made very little noise, but the a/c belt one, at idle it sounded kinda like a belt slippin, about 30-40 mph at low rpm it was like a loud squaking. i read on here, i think, that they are only rated for 50k miles. i changed mine at a little over 90k. no more noise

loosen the belt and spin the pulley, and check the bearing play. these bearings have plastic seals that blow and let the grease out. the air cond. pulleys are actually overmolded plastic around the bearings. if the pulley squeaks and the bearing feels loose, i'll bet a cyber-beer that there's grease on the back of the pulley!
