Default Rear Brakes

Just replaced my rear brakes on my 98Z, and I have a question. When I replaced the pads I noticed that the drivers side inner pad was completely wore out and the other three pads were only about half worn.
I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts or comments on this. I would like to prevent this from happening again.
Solutions please.

Probably the last time the car had brakes the dude spaced out and forgot to change that pad, got it all back together, said **** it, Im not taking it apart again, and just left it.

Make sure the caliper slides are lubed well. It happens a lot on all sorts of cars...fairly normal.

I agree with joshp14, sounds exactly like caliper slides are dry.
