Ok I put in a new compressor and pumped in 2 cans of freon and it worked fine for a few days. Now it is blowing regular air and there doesnt seem to be any differnce between MAX AC, AC or VENT, nothing seems to change, also I notice my idle does not surge and whatnot when I turn the ac on. Any ideas on what I could have done wrong, I got the comp. from a guy on this board who pulled it out of his car with 40k, seemed to be in really good shape. I hope it just needs more freon, how much freon do these cars usually take to fill em up?

My first suggestion is go buy a gauge to verify you don't have a leak

Sounds like you have a leak and the compressor is not kicking in. Get the gauge set
