Running Lights UGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! alright in my 00 ws6 the running lights finally shorted out the dashboard so i ordered new sockets and new housings. Well to start things out the two inner bolts that hold the housings in broke off on install, im alright with that the outer ones are tight enought to hold them. I have ALLL the wires wired correctly!! ive checked some odd million times. The blinkers work the hazards work and even the parking light switch works but NO RUNNING LIGHTS i mean i can deal with not having them but why arent they working???? any ideas ive disconnected the battery to try to restet the running light brain and no difference. i open for suggestions.
first off, I dont know- now thats outta the way, Off top of my head Im thinking theres a relay I hear click to turn the running lights ON once I drop the Emergency brake AFTER I start my car. With your car turned off and your E brake locked, start the car and there should be no running lights yet. Now with the car running take the E brake off and see if you hear the relay click to throw power down to the lights. no click, no power going down to lights. Not sure where that relay is located but maybe this will get you started in the right direction? Good luck man
