Default Noob needs to reset computer

Hey everybody!
I just changed out my battery and now the truck is idling extremely rough. I was wondering if anyone knows how to reset the computer on an '01 Chevy Tahoe? From what a friend told me it is idling rough because of the battery change. Any help would be appreciated.

Was the old one completely dead? If so it probably just needs to relearn the idle. Should be OK after running a few minues/ignition cycles though.

I had the same thing on my Camaro when I replaced the battery.... freaked me.
There are a couple threads on this and I can't remember what I did, but I recall I just kept it idling in Park and Drive. Eventually, it smoothed right out.

If nothing else is wrong, it will relearn in a short time!

yeah, it just wont idle for a little bit. Sometimes it takes more time than others. Normally, i get in my car and drive for 10-15 mins at most, and then its back to normal.

Yea I have put about 40 miles on it since I reset the computer, and I think it is misfiring now, it is throwing an SES light and idle is really choppy. But once it gets past about 1500 rpm it runs just fine. Maybe I have a bad plug wire.
