Noob needs to reset computer
Hey everybody!
I just changed out my battery and now the truck is idling extremely rough. I was wondering if anyone knows how to reset the computer on an '01 Chevy Tahoe? From what a friend told me it is idling rough because of the battery change. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same thing on my Camaro when I replaced the battery.... freaked me.
There are a couple threads on this and I can't remember what I did, but I recall I just kept it idling in Park and Drive. Eventually, it smoothed right out.

Yea I have put about 40 miles on it since I reset the computer, and I think it is misfiring now, it is throwing an SES light and idle is really choppy. But once it gets past about 1500 rpm it runs just fine. Maybe I have a bad plug wire.
