SES light, MAF code and weird headlight noise

SES light, MAF code and weird headlight noise I'm having 2 problems with my car, first of all the drivers side headlight makes a loud buzzing noise when I turn the lights off. I don't think the gear is stripped cuz the light still goes up and down fine. Also, I noticed that the headlights come up now when I turn on just the parking lights and they never used to. I also noticed that my low beam light is burned out, would that have anything to do with it?
Problem 2 has been around for a long time. I keep getting a MAF code and my SES light is always on. I bought a used MAF and installed it and had the code cleared and it came right back on. The car only has 20,000 miles and is well cared for, could both my original MAF and the used one I purchased be bad? Or is there another explanation?
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't remember, it's been a while since I had it cleared. After I clear it it goes away and stays off as long as the car is running the first time but comes back on the second time I start it.
So I guess I just have to switch the gear around and it will be all good?

I guess I didn't really specify, but the lights make no noise at all while going up or down, only when the DS light is all the way down it makes that sound. And why would they pop up when just the parking lights are on? Anybody?

They pop up when the parking lights are on because it doesn't think it is off. Normal operation is when the light folds down an arm hits a bump stop. The load on the motor causes excessive amperage draw and turn off the head light. The grinding you hear is the gear slipping/stripping and will only stop due to timing out, but the car does not know it is down- causing the lights to go up when the parking lights are on because it thinks they ARE up. Most likley the motor case is loose and allowing the gear to slip. I just replaced the whole motor and now it works. Hope this helps.

Uh, yeah, the car is, or was, for sale, and I let this kid take it for a test drive and he wrapped it around a tree. The damn headlight motor isn't really making any noise now. Or popping up. So, uh, thanks for all the insight.
