Chiltons are ALOT better being their more detailed but haynes are cheaper and focus on more basic repairs

I have the Haynes and the Helms for the 2001 model...

The Haynes tried to cover too many year models and was a confusing POS IMO. It had way too much LT-1 stuff and I only wanted to know about MY cars engine and such...

The Helms manual is just damn awesome IMHO, They left no stone unturned and they stayed on the topic of the 2001 model and did not confuse me with pics and diagrams of 'other' year model cars with different engines and drivetrains in them. Best money I ever spent on a manual...

The Haynes manual that I own for my DSM's are FULL of errors and crappy info. Many times I have noticed incorrect torque specs and 'bad' info. My Haynes manual for my DSM's has a lot of handwritten 'notes' in it where I have had to write in the correct info... Poorly edited books at best. You get what you pay for friend.

I can make no claims about the accuracy of the Haynes manual for our cars as I have not touched it since it was replaced with the Helms. I just thought that the Haynes was trying to cover way too many cars in one book...

My Haynes manual for our cars is currently floating around on Amazon.com someplace.
