Default temp gauge...

a couple days ago my temperature gauge in my 2000 trans just stopped working. it doesnt move at all, just stays down. any other cases of this happening??? unless it is just a fuse, i am kinda unaware how to go about fixing it on a newer car.

this about the time you get a aftermarket gauge....the fix for the stock gauge isnt that bad, the sensor just probably went, but the guage on the dash only is just a dummy gauge to....it doesnt read acuterately between 190-220....so now you see why you could just get a aftermarket gauge that will tell you the truth

Make sure the ECT sensor (by the #1 cyl in the head) is fully plugged in and the wires aren't burnt anywhere.

I can show you an easy way to do it. You can install the sending unit and to the TB bypass at the same time, if you haven't already done that mod.
