How do I get these pins out?
How do I get these pins out? Does anyone know how to remove the pins where the arrow points to? I bought a brake reservoir cover and it won't fit unless I pull up the cowl trim (or whatever that's called).

Stick a small flatblade screwdriver into the slot on top of the connector. The center part will pop up, allowing the fastener to pull out.

I design plastic parts for cars, and while you can pry that center portion of the fastener up (it acts as a spreader when inserted into the outer portion) they are designed so they can be simply pushed out from the top. Just get a small diameter rod, push on the center section, and it will push out the bottom. Make sure you can get at the bottom so you don't lose the piece that pushes out. If you don't have access to the bottom, pry it out with a small screw driver.
