Had to use a can in an emergency, but I drove right to the tire place. I told them straight up about it, and they thanked me for doing so. The guy said he does hate when people use it and don't tell them about it.
They cleaned it up and didn't charge me extra. Actually they gave me a run flat loner for a day until my new tires came in the next day.

+1 on the "last resort" opinion

they really do hate it, and it can eat your rims pretty good....+2 for last resort

Just curious, but how does it get to the outside of the rim? And if the tire shop does get some on the rim by accident, if they wipe it off right away, it won't do anything to the rim, right?

it does eat at the chrome on the inside causing bead seal problems, i tell you what, if i gotta wirebrush your rim so it will seal i hope they charge you out the *** because i work off comission...lol

One of my friends put it in his rear tire and it has help air for 6 months. I told him its not for that but when ever he gets a flat he just fills it up with that crap.

Use it on my bike tire, bitch never went flat again! Sold the bike about 8 years later and it was still fine! lol

We've used it before on one of our cars, only in an emergency though.

I worked at Discount Tire for years. They used to do flat repairs for free on any tire. I've done thousands. Pretty soon you know the smell of a fix-a-flat tire when you pull the core out of the stem to let pressure out. lol It is a bitch, smelly, messy, and oxidizes the **** out of aluminum rims causing this nasty buildup that has to be wire brushed off, it will also peel chrome, it also throws balance off big time in some cases. Its an emergency use only thing. Use it to get to a tire shop or home so you can take the wheel off and get it fixed correctly.
