Idle issues
Idle issues For about a month now I have noticed my car running rough upon coming to a complete stop or after starting the car initially however as of late the problems are proceeding to be worse. It has been two weeks now but we took the car on a pretty long roadtrip and I have to admit for the first time since I have owned the car I ran the low octane fuel in it just to save a few bucks on the trip and not too mention i didnt think any harm would be done being that it was all highway miles. Anyways it was on this trip when my idle problems managed to get far worse to the point the car was almost dying every time we came to a stop. So upon coming back from my trip i made sure to change out the fuel filter to see if that helped and too be honest it seemed like it made it worse because now everytime I go to start the car it takes a little longer for the car to turn over. But now in the last two days when I go to start the car after it sitting there overnight I hear this suction type noise much like a vacumn cleaner coming from the air box but then proceeds to go away after a minute or so. However, its then when I put the car is drive or reverse my idle drops to about 200 or 300 and for the first time now its actually dying when it drops that low. I also now have this high piched whine constantly coming from what I think is the back of the intake manifold but cannot be certain. The car right now is running so rough that im either thinking its fuel or vacumn leak related but after checking the accessible lines everything seems good and now have come here looking for some pointers.
