Default MSD wires last how long?

Should they be changed every two years like i do my spark plugs or do they last longer? Will they still keep the same resistance(40ohms/ft) or does it increase over the years?

anybody else know? I know people still using stock wires but frequently change plugs all the time.

The wires are fine as long as they're not physically damaged. I'd still have the stockers if I hadn't ripped the boot off one.....had the msd's for over a year and they still look brand new---don't plan on replacing them unless I rip one again.

So they don't lose anything as long as they aren't torn? Makes sense, nothing to really wear. Only spark plugs wear down.

I agree, I use to work for chevy, ignition wires dont usually go 'bad' unless their damaged, melted, torn, creased, etc etc. The wires are like 6-8 in long, so there almost 0 ohm resistance in stockers. its really a judgement call.
