Cig lighter hookup?? and on all the time?

Cig lighter hookup?? and on all the time? Well im going from 94-97 console to the 98-02 style one with 2 cig ligthers.. i imagine i can just take the cords from my lamp light under the center console lid (orange and black wire) and just hook them to the top cig lighters connects.. also whenever I have my radar or something hooked up to my cig lighter its on all the time do I have to run a new thing to the fuse box so its accessory on or what

thats a good ?, mine does the same thing. sometimes i forget about my laser detector and it stays on when ever i shutoff the motor. all i did in my jeep was i got a 3 slot one with an on/off switch. i just attached it up under the dash in arms reach, i haven't tried anything for my car yet.

ya when i gotto work and leave the radar running for a good 10-11 hours thats taking a toll on the battery (Yes i disconnect the radar or turn it off) but when I forget or someone like my gf plugs something in i dont want my car to be dead
