Please help me with a misfiring problem
Please help me with a misfiring problem My car is yet again missin. I know for a fact that something is getting wet. I just need to figure out what i need to replace. Im headed to get new o2 sensors and harness cause one was close to dragin the ground would this cause it to miss. It wount miss until i drive it about 2 minutes this it starts bad. It usually stops in a day but has been goin on for more than 3 days now and i also noticed a weird smell in the air comin from the vents. Ok last night i went and put it up on jacks, got underneath it and checked the wires going to the o2s, I did not however change the o2s as they were 70 a piece. I found that the wires from the sensor on the driver side were touching the header and had been burned(well 3 of the 4 atleast) so i cut and spliced those back together and it still missed when i started it. However I drove a few miles and it went back to normal. Later on it started again so, I dunno if maybe the plug wires or maybe the sensor is bad, is there a way i can check the o2s? Any other ideas? help me
im assuming your talking about your front o2's.....thus, you should just go ahead and change them, im surprised that your not throwing a code...or maybe you just didnt mention it...usually when the o2s are going bad a code will be thrown...go ahead and change the wires AND the plugs....come back and tell us whats going on

Just the the heck of it check your ENG SEN fuse. Buddy of mine lost his reverse lockout (M6) when it blew because of the 02 harness arcing/melted against a header. The MAF/02/skip shift/reverse lockout/brake switch are all on the same circuit.
