How do I diagnose bad PCV System??? Ok, here we go again. The car is burning oil. It doesn't smoke on start-up nor while driving. I had to add almost 3qts of synthetic between oil changes (3000 miles). it's not dripping anywhere. Compression check and leakdown test came back completely normal. I pulled the PCV valve and noticed that it was gunked up really bad with oil and it smelled really, really, burnt. I changed it but I'm not really sure what else to check in the PCV system. 
Anywhere else I should look? Could it be something else? I'm trying to fix it so I can sell the damn thing and get back to my Mopar roots. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's another thread called "have you tried this PCV valve" that talks about using a different valve you can get from a GM dealer.
That PCV valve is just like the stock one except instead of the rattler, it's closed & hollow with a tiny hole where the rattler would otherwise be. I've had mine in for about a month, checking the oil weekly and have seen no significant oil consumption.
I had been about 1qt and some change low after 3000 miles using the German Castrol 0w30 (low oil light came on). So, I topped it off and changed over to this different PCV valve. You might check it out. The part number is in the other thread.
