I just installed new axle bearing/seals in mine. I used 2 qts of RP oil and a rear end gskt. Total for all was about $60 . I do not know what they charge me for the oil, but it musta been free. LOL. I know the bearing and seals was about $45.
With the torsion no additive is needed. I put one in my truck and only used dyno oil for it and it is smooth as glass.

yeah, i went synthetic fluid when i did my rear diff fluid change and it was very quiet but when i added the lsd fluid it was even quieter...worth the 8 bucks to me.,.. i changed mine about every 20k

Mmk. I'll be getting the LSD additive soon. Do you put the additive in first and then fill it with the gear oil? I would assume the whole bottle of LSD additive should be in there, right?

Yes, I know about the Auburn Pro, but that was only available from SLP on the SSes and Firehawks, as an option .
