oil pressure help
oil pressure help okay whats the general reading for the oil pressure supposed to be, on my 01 WS6 its in between the 60 and 80 and stays there but when im in a lower gear the pressure drops to the normal straight up position. sorry if i have the numbers wrong i havent been in the car lately....
somwhere between 40-60 cold, around 40ish warm. The oil pressure will vary from car to car. As long as it stays above 20 idle and the pressure goes up with the rpm you should be okay. I've heard that the pressure can be as low as 7psi for every 1000 rpm.
