need help figuring this out ever since i have had my car i have had a slight problem with the car starting. the problem usually happens after i have driven my car and shut it off and going back to start it again. to get ti to start i have to hold the igniting on and run through the gears and it kicks right up but there has been a couple of times where it didnt start and i would have to wait for it to cool off. i am not sure if the temp of the car has anythign to do it but it seems ike it starts right up when cold.

could be that the starter solenoid is getting too hot. how old is it. may be time to change it out. does it crank over but won't start or is it just plain dead till it cools down again?

there is no turning over, nothign to make me think it was from securtiy problems. the former owners siad they took it to a dealership and they couldnt figure it out. where is the ground cable on the engine, is it easily accessible?
i dont know where on LS1s, but easiest way to find it is follow the negative cable from the batter, and see where it goes. there might be one or two other wires, but you should follow the thickest, heaviest cable. it should go to the block, attached to a bolt and nut.
