Default SES light - need help

02 Z28 LS1 6spd, 66k, 100% stock. I'm a newbie when it comes to computer controlled engines.
Car's running fine, I stop at Home Depot for about 30 min. Starts right up and as I shift from 1 to 2 the car starts to shake and run rough. I take it out of gear and it smooths out. Drive for a few minutes, feels a bit sluggish, and the SES comes on. Steady at first, then flashing, then steady. Today I started it up again and let it run a few minutes. It smelt like running rich but that could just be cause its cold out and engine wasn't warmed up.. I didn't drive it. Any ideas. I'll bring it over AutoZone and get the codes tomorrow.

If the SES light was flashing, you'll have a P0300 DTC (random multiple misfire). You might also have a P0301 thru P0308 (the last number in those DTCs [1-8] signifies the specific cylinder that is misfiring).

Get it scanned to see what exact DTCs you have stored, and go from there. Could be a bad plug wire, bad plug, bad coil, etc.

Things are looking worse this morning. It's smoking out the tailpipes, and it looks more blue than black, although it does smell more like fuel. I don't want to drive it. I gotta find someone with a scanner. I hope I'm not looking at a rebuild here.

It's probably raw fuel coming out the exhaust. You likey have a cylinder that is not firing. That could be due to a number of things as I mentioned above (bad plug, bad or disconnected plug wire, bad coil, etc.).

Get it scanned ASAP. Let us know what the DTC is once you do that.

Default codes

I pulled the codes today:
P0200 Injector Circuit Malfunction
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0155 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
The scanner said there were 6, but then showed P0200 and P0300 a 2nd time after I scrolled down.

Something else I notice just as I start the car, there's a 'click' and then it fires. Maybe it's normal but I don't remember this. Almost sounds like the battery is dead for a second.

Can someone walk me through the next steps in the diagnostic process,? like where are these sensors or what would trigger these codes. Something common to sensor 1 and 2? I just want to make sure its not something simple (like a bad or disconnected wire) before I bring it in for service. Like I said, I'm a newbie with all this stuff.
