Electrical problem, help
This forum was recommended to me by my cousin, an avid Camaro owner. I am the owner of a 1996 Camaro V6. In the last week, the car has developed what I perceive to be an electrical problem. During the last week, when I go to get in the car in the morning, upon opening the door the interior lights typically do not come on at first, then will sort of flicker rapidly and make a strange clicking noise. This may stop after a moment, however when I turn the key to on and try to crank the car, it happens again. Typically I have to turn the key off, turn it back on, and repeat the process 3-5 times before the car will crank. Once it cranks it runs fine. This problem typically does not happen if the car has been sitting for a short time, say 30 minutes or an hour, but if it's been sitting for 4 or 5 hours, or overnight, it happens.
It's definitely something electrical, but I have no idea what. I admit limited knowledge on the car's inner workings, but I have mentioned the problem to several different people and have gotten a wide range of answers as to what it might be. Does anyone here have any suggestions of things it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
