Jackstand Placement What is the best "safest" place to support a 4th gen F-body for converter swap?
I saw some friends drop a 67 Camaro off of the jackstands. Since then I have been a little paranoid working under cars.

id personally get some plastic ramps and put the car up on that....it not....theres a small area right behind the front wheels, youll see some wholes in the frame and its a good place to put them, because 1. its a hardened secure spot...2.the jack stands flanges will lock into place in those wholes....
blurls1 posted a picture about him using a phone book to hold the engine up....he had his jack stands in a pretty good spot, search for the post in external or newbie tech....it had good pics....

Not right now. All I am doing is a converter swap and header install. Pretty basic stuff, I just want to be as safe as possible while doing it.
When I looked under the car, I didn't see anything that struck be as a very secure place to put the jackstands. I had thought about ramps, but they wouldn't be plastic. I'll look for the notches behind the front wheels that you mentioned.
