inaccurate tach

Default inaccurate tach
on my 91 when the car is just idling the tach is at 500rpm and u can berry the tach going 30 or over is there anyway way to repair the tach?

91 thats why the 3rd gens tach's are well get a aftermarket one

got 3 friends 2 with rs's and 1 with a z28 and they all do it
