A/C Service question
I am installing a new A/C Compressor tonight since my factory one died last summer. I have a condensor off of a low mileage 2002 SS camaro which I plan to use instead of my factory one, would this be a problem? I've always replaced the condensor's in the past due to moisture contamination but this one is dry and clean so I think it'll be allright. What do ya'll think? Also would it be wise to go ahead and replace every O-ring in the A/C lines?

Replace the o-rings because there cheap. Dont worry about the condenser its the reciever dryer that need to be replaced every time the a/c system is opened. That is what is recomended as a general rule of thumb. I have had mine open over 5 times, i just pull a 30 min vacum, charge it up and its good to go.

Mine was opened and left empty from April of '02 till July or August of '02. Just vacuumed it out, charged it up, and it was fine for years.
