I am assuming it is leaking. Just pull the pan off and clean everything really good with brake cleaner, place the new gasket on and put a tiny bit of RTV on the outside portion of the gasket. Then bolt it back up and put a good amount of RTV on the area where the pan gasket meets the front and rear covers.
Be careful torquing the long skinny bolts in the back down, they only get 9 lbs.
