Grinding coming from front of car I have a 01 ss with 100k miles on it. It has a grinding noise coming from the front of the car, it sounds like its coming off th ac compressor or a tensioner and its loudest at idle. my friend has the same noise but his is not as nearly as loud as mine. i was wondering if anyone else has or had this problem
No idea with that description. If you are sure it is in the belt driven accessories I would pull the belt and turn all the pulley's by hand. If its making noise it will be real obvious which one is doing it.

I took both belts off and rotated the pullies but couldn't hear anything. I decided to change out the a/c belt because it looked a little worn and it seemed to have fixed the problem.
