so the past couple times i have taken my 99 z/28 out at night this problem has happened. when i have my headlights on, the instrument lights and radio lights go on as usual. well at least once per night the dash/instrument/radio lights just turn off. all that is lit up is my odometer and the time on my radio. it only stays off for about 20-30 seconds and then it magically lights back up. all my gauges work too when this problem happens, its just the lights. its the wierdest thing and i have no idea whats causing it, any suggestions?

bad ground somewhere, check to see if you have continuity in the ground circut when they go off. probably under dash near steering column.

also the dimmer may have some dust on it. turn it up and down a couple times.
