Default horn honks while off

99 C5 FRC.

Today it randomly honked the horn while it was off, just sitting in the garage. The battery isn't low, that was the only thing I could think of. It did it maybe 4 times in a span of a few hours.

Any ideas why it would randomly honk?

You mean the alarm was going off? If so possibly the shock sensor is going bad.

no, i don't think it was the alarm, just a short honk like when you lock the doors.

Perhaps a crossed wire or a faulty fuse?

Horn pads in steering wheel are making contact, is your horn really 'touchy'?

Well, here's what I found.

If I shake one of my keyfobs and drop it on my desk, a few minutes later my car will honk. So I guess something in the keyfob is broken.

Maybe a coincidence? If the lights flash w/the horn still think it's the shock sensor for the alarm. I'd try disconnecting it temporarily and see if it stops.
