Got a code P0420...
Got a code P0420... Had a loudmouth cat back installed about a month and a half ago.
Drove through Mcdonalds drive-through, SES light came on.
Got it scanned, code P0420.
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
What could of caused this? How do I make it go away?

Nevermind, search is a wonderful tool.
Odd though, I had them test both cats and they told me they both were working perfect.

There is a recall for catalyitic converters going out on our cars. GM will replace up to 100,000 miles I believe. I got a letter around here somewhere. That's my guess. I was getting the same code on my V-6 at 80k when I traded in on the WS6. I only have 24K on the WS6 but expect one or both of the cats will fail at sometime.
