Default M6 tranny service...

Wondering if you guys drain and fill your m6 periodically or not...If so, any special fluids you use in particular??

I've done mine at 50k and will again soon (105k). I use Mobil 1 ATF (yes for the M6 tranny). I noticed a slight amount of gear whine after pulling out the OEM fluid though not enough to cause concern.

There is a corrent thread in the Manual Tranny forum that recommends avoiding Royal Purple due to it not protecting your blocker rings from prematurely wearing (FYI).

One of the local horsepower shops alwas told us to use regular ole dex III, but the other day they said the Royal Purple works really good as well.
