Did you check the low side with a gauge to make sure you have refridgerant? It will kick on if there is just barely enough in the system.

The switches are really simplistic, and if you say the compressor kicks on, then there is nothing wrong with the switch. The temp blend selector is mechanical, and you would likely be able to tell that was busted by feel. I would look to that way down the list.

the compressor can still click on, doesnt mean its working though....these ac compressors in our cars have a tendancy to leak from the rear...just go get it checked most places will check for leaks for free.....sorry my man, but if its broke your looking at LARGE sum of money

I'd try a recharge first to see what that does.

well i cant exactly check for leaks cause i pulled the engine thinking it was out of refrigerant and when i disconnected the lines i found the opposite so realistically i cant find any leaks unless they put die in from the factory. in which case i could check it. cut i will have a new compressor when i do the swap casue the v6 one want work but i posted this thinking there might be something i could visually check for beside leaks since the engine is out and the car is pretty much torn apart

thanks for the pointers guys
