Default P0308

My car just randomly outta the blue threw this code one night

1999 Camaro SS M6 Has 50K Miles

Mods:
LS6 Intake
GMMG Catback
TSP Smoked Lid + K&N Filter

So being as its a misfire on cylinder 8 the first thing i did was swapped the plug. The plug i put in was a NGK TR55 and the old one i took out was somewhat wet. Sooo After a few minutes of driving the Code came back... so i swaped the coils and wires with cylinder 2. Clearrd the code, start the car up.. and again after a couple minutes P0308 comes back, when you drive somewhat agressively the SES light starts to flash and on deceleration you can hear popping/crackling in the exhaust soo im assuming the cylinder is getting fuel.
So Then I Took the spark plug wire off and Ohm'd it and came out to 322 ohms and the one on cylinder 2 that i swaped it with came out to 344 ohms. So nothing abnormally high. I also made sure the wires were on tight by the clicking sound on the plug end and the 2 clicks on the coil end. I checked for continuity between the pins on the connector for the #8 coil and the main coil plug for the passenger side and all the pins checked out.

so now where do i look?

The wires i had on are the ones the car came with when i bought it about 1500 miles ago... I just swapped the wires from cylinder 8 and cylinder 2. Both ohmed out ok because i believe spec is 700 ohms and both were mid 300's... in the darkness there is no arcing visible either. The Coils are secured also. I have no idea how old those plugs are either if that helps with the oil on them.. they could of been on for 5000 miles or maybe 25000 miles...

It just developed one night out of the blue... i was out cruising around then on my way home it just popped up. Wasnt beating on the car or anything. Tomorrow im going to try and do on a compression test on that cylinder and see where that gets me...

Try this. Pull #8 injector and Any other injector and swap them. See if the miss follows that injector. I have seen #8 clog or stick from build up at the end of the rail.

If the code was gone after swapping the plug then came back it would indicate that the injector is flooding the plug. Normally that is caused by a bad injector - stuck open.

put a new injector in and changed the plug at the same time... cleared the code and after about 2 minutes of running the code came back...

this is starting to **** me off....

a idle/lower speeds the CEL stays on constantly...but at higher speeds it begins to flash.... the car also has a somewhat rough idle and runs like poo from idle till about 3000 rpm... then from there on it starts to run somewhat better....

Thats bad. There is only 1 place for it to go DOWN. Bottom end worst case. I think it is the same on ls1. Pull the intake and hope its sitting there in the valley chillin waiting for you to pick it up, and hasnt messed anything else up.
