Default Windows not going up

I'm having troubles with my power windows, especially the driver side. It goes down well, but can't go up. I have to do it in step and it raises from 1-2 in evey time. Would some lub in the window rail do the job or is it my electric motor who's dying? I think passenger side did it once too, but now it works fine.

Just break the windows so you don't have to worry about the motors, thats really the only way to solve the GM window motor problem.
Besides...how bad could 80mph windchill in Quebec in the dead of winter be anyway?

I like the retainer net idea better! How much goes a motor, or what do you have to fix in it usually when it dies. Solenoids?

You can get a new window motor from auto parts stores for $40 - $60.

Here is a write-up:
http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html
(I supported my window with a block of wood in the door instead of a clamp.)
