Coolant in the frame?

Coolant in the frame? Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this. I got my waterpump replaced today, and took it for a spin and stopped at Autozone to get some Armorall...anyways, I came back out and there was a huge puddle of anti-freeze under the car (about the length of my car and a 1-2 feet wide)...the mechanic thinks that it was stuck in the frame from when they took out the waterpump...anyone else heard of this?

I could see some getting trapped in the k-member. But a big puddle like that would make me wonder. Did you check your fluid level afterwards? Are sure it wasn't there when you pulled up? Did you look to see if there were drips coming from the pump weep hole?

Hmmmm. Two things i can think of considering the time. 1) its coming out of the over flow from getting hot or the level in the over flow is to high 2) its coming from the weep hole when you shut it off just enough to drain the impeler cavity. either way you need to get under there and see if you can see were it might be dripping from. Also check your fluid level in the radiator and see how it looks.
