after my header install i noticed that my air bag light has turned and my steering wheel radio controls do not work anymore. When i did my headers i had to take out my steering knuckle for my header to fit in. my buddy spun the wheel alot thinking that it was funny. someone had told me maybe he snap a counterclock spring when he spun the wheel like that. my question is what do you think happend, and i have a gmpp plan will it cover this?

 

Your buddy F*&%ed you. You solved your own problem. Sorry to hear that. You might get lucky with them to cover it. Just play stupid and say nothing about the headers. Good luck

 

I have the same problem, except my Air Bag light came on before my headers and the steering controls go in and out when I turn. I suspect it's the spring as well.

 

yea i know he f***** me up, i will play stupid with the warranty and hopefully get somewhere

 

there is a wound coil of wire that hooks everything up in there, but you can only turn the wheel so many times before it stretches to the snapping point. Sorry man, but I think your buddy owes you a new steering wheel coil.
