Turn signals not working

Turn signals not working I have taken out my fog lights and DRLs and now my turning signals arent working properly anymore. It lights up but it doesnt blink for the turn.
I took my car to the dealer and they told me I have to put both the fog lights and the DRLs for the turning signals to work again. My fog lights cant come back on, that hole is used for my front breather conversion and I was planning on using the DRL holes for something.
Is there a way to have my turn signals work even though my DRLs and fog lights are removed. Thanks
