Daily driver help?
Daily driver help? I know this isn't a 'Grand Am' forum, but if anybody can point me to one for this I'd appreciate it as well. I have a 98 Grand Am for my daily, really cheap car, got it for $1400 from the auction. Everything is good on it except 2 things, 1. At highway speeds (65+) it starts to shake pretty good, my steering wheel alot. Its only at 65+ and it seems to build up to it the faster I go. Now the car has 1 steel wheel on it and the rest are aftermarket, lol, the steel one is ALOT heavier than the other 3. Could this cause that or what else would? 2. When I press down the clutch, or go over decent bumps something sounds like its knocking under my feet, nothing violent just a single knock. If I shift really slowly it doesn't do it. Any ideas on anything I'd appreciate it!

A balancing issue. 10 bucks for your two front wheels should fix your problems
Your back wheels arnt crucial seeing how its a pos
your good tires should be up front also.
number two i would tighing up your inner A arm bushings. i am not completely sure on those cars but i think the rear one is directly under your feet. they wear out and metal hits metal and makes pops, clicks, and all sorts of interesting stuff
