A/C INOP need help/ideas
A/C INOP need help/ideas So AC was working perfectly when I parked the car , go back out a couple days later turn on the AC an nothing but hot air blows?
Also I noticed the other day when I was messing with it every now and again when i turned it on something was knocking hard.. The compressor seems to be turning and the clutch kicking in... Tried to service the refrig. but it didn't pull anything out of the can..
I really don't know much about AC systems so I am open to all ideas, was seeing if maybe an easy fix was available before I go and spend $$$$ getting it fixed at a shop..

is the switch on the cold side? i know this is a dumb question,but i've seen it done. if you heard some hard knocking, it might be possible that one of your mode doors could of gotten f*cked up. or possibly the high or low switches went south.pretty simple to replace, but your gonna have to evac. the system, if thats the problem.

You didn't mention it, but is it throwing any codes? What was the STATIC pressure on the gauge with the key off? Above 75* should be at least 70 PSI, above 90* 100 PSI. Sounds like a mechanical problem to me, only other thing I can think of is check all the AC related fuses.

Frisky2101, mine is doing the same thing the clutch kicks on for few seconds and turns off. Driving me crazy. A local shop here in Apacahe Junction AZ wants 1500 to fix it. Keep me informed if you find anything out please.

The car is not throwing any codes at all.... guess I could vheck all the fuses again but didn't see anypopped the other day... STATIC Pressure was like 80-85 or so if i remember right
