Don't get the question about FULL COLD-FULL HOT.

It should be completely topped off when cold. Meaning, when you come out to your car in the morning after having driven it the day before, and you take the fill cap off, it should be filled right to the top. If its not, you need to add more.

Only way to see that though is: start the car cold with the rdaitor cap off and stand there while it gets hot until the T-Stat opens and it starts to circulate. Than you can top it off as it goes down. Its easier to just open it when its cold, check the level, add if necassary and drive away.
