Water pump question???
Like I said The pump is only 1.5 years old and I dont feel like spending another $200
.Should I risk it or not by replacing just the seals?
Then, once I learned as much as I could that way, and if required to go further, I'd tear it down to where I could eyeball the WP and surrounding areas. It would be the same drill as you'd go through if you were replacing it.
See what you can see and take it from there. Be careful not to smudge, rub, or otherwise ruin any trails, traces, or tracks that you may be seeking. Take your time, use a bright light, and think while you're looking.
Since you have it all drained and everything, it would be a good time to replace your antifreeze.
