Default Did I switch these two lines????

I changed my water pump today. Turned on the heater and it blew cool. Then the car started to overheat. These two lines dont look right to me (the placement of them) the way I have them. Did I install these two lines incorrectly?

I'm guessing yes, but I need a second opinon.

It looks like you have it right. The hose with the little sleeve is closest to the front of the car. Plus, the hoses and connections on the pump are different diameters, so you'd notice that too.

Does the thermostat open - coolant circulate when engine heats up with radiator cap off? It could be air in the system, but I dunno. I'd run engine with raditor cap off, heater on high and top off as level drops - remove any remaining air.

Yeah I'd sooner go with the air in the system/ not full of coolant idea.

Thanks for replying. I was starting to wonder. There is circulation (fluid coming through the hose off the throtlebody into the radiator). I tried to blead the system I held the hose of the throttlebody till fluid came out it started to get hot so I hooked it up. I also topped it off on startup whenever the fluid sank

Whats funny to me is the heater does not blow hot or even warm.
Could this be a stuck thermostat eventhough circulation is present.

Have you filled it up as much as you could and then let it run for awhile and then let it sit overnight and check it again? You may want to do that

The search is up and running again (was not working.....again), And from what I read it is probably air in the system. I'll try again tomarrow.

Thanks
