Detonation fixed!
Detonation fixed! I have had pretty bad ping at high rpm wot operation. I thought that since the maf was descreened it was leaning the mixture at WOT or something. So I have held off until I could afford a tune for it.
Then I got the bright idea to clean the MAF with some electrical contact cleaner from radio shack. I used a q-tip to carefully clean the sensors which were black. Now, no more detonation, even with WOT runs third to fifth gear yesterday at almost 90*. If I would try that before, it would sound like popcorn.
