Could a bad alternator do this?

Could a bad alternator do this?
As of yesterday, the TA will intermittently lose all electrical power.
As i'm driving along, I'll hear the radar detector reset, the radio cut-out for a second, time resets to 1:00, all dash lights light up as if the car was just started - all while I'm cruising along. The engine does not stall, and everything keeps running normally.
Could it be the alternator?

If the voltage is dropping, you can bet it's your alternator. Same things happened to my car when the alt. went.
But if your voltage is fine, then it's something weird.....
You might want to check the two leads coming off the alternator just as a precaution.

Thanks guys...The voltage is solid , no dips or spikes. Just a brief loss off all electrical power. I didnt think it would be the PCM, but I'll keep that in mind.
Last night I went under the hood, removed all grounds, sanded the connections as well as the mounting surface where they bolts down to the frame. I also removed the battery terminals and made sure they were both in straight and tight.
Its a tough one, becuase I have to drive the car around for 20-30 mins to see if the glitch happens again or not.

I found the problem. A few positive o-ring terminals coming together at the pass side fuse box area, at the factory + post, the nut wasnt as tight as it should be. Those wires got hot & started to melt away!
I've replaced all that, hopefully that'll fix the interior power problem!
