Bad MAF?
I recently had a MAF issue that threw a code. Due to this, I replaced my MAF with a used unit and after a month of having the used unit the car started to miss and cause an off idle stumble. The car was not happy unless steady throttle was given. I had the idea yesterday to unplug my MAF to see if it would act the same while in open loop mode (not relying upon the MAF, the incorrect way). This made the car run like normal. The car throws no codes now with the MAF connected, but obviously shows a code without it connected. Do I need a new MAF or do I just need to clean the unit? I don't feel like spending a ton of $$$$ on a MAF. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try the cleaner, if that doesn't work and you need a new MAF, search for Van's Chevrolet's GM Parts Direct (I hope that's legal to say ), you can get sensors, and other parts, cheaper than at your local dealership.
