EGR repair ?

EGR repair ? My EGR has constantly gave me problems. I have a vacuum leak at least
at the manifold and maybe other areas. I don't want to delete it with a tune and cap it off. I have searched for repair and not found much and parts seem hard to find. I have a ses light right now. Please reply if you have rapaired your
EGR.

I just disconncted the egr from the intake and replaced it with a 1 1/2"
rubber stopper with a wing nut I found in plumbing. I am idling smooth now with no ses or tcs light which I was getting. I had to file down the metal
part of the stopper to pass a bolt on the throttle body and the rubber part was really a tight fit. I also think I need a new PCV because there is a lot
of carbon around it.
