Popped a code, code dissapeared, tach sticks?

Popped a code, code dissapeared, tach sticks? So yesterday, I went with a buddy of mine so he could roast an old pair of tires off. He wanted to turn around on the road we were on so I drove past him, turned around and floored it up the little hill we were on. I was in first gear so the tires kicked loose, the RPMs rose, and then the SES light came on and the car bogged down. The tach was stuck at 5k as well. I slowed down and the rest of the dash lights started popping up. So I turned the car off, turned it back on, and it was fine.
When we got back to my buddy's house, he popped a code reader on it and it said there weren't any codes present.
I drove about 150 miles today and didn't notice anything weird. It drove just like it normally would.
What in the hell was this and what did I break?
