Default Help Please!!! ASAP

I just installed a ls6 intake on my car. I went to start it up and it will rev to 3 grand and die. im thinking a vacumm leak. But i noticed these two foam pieces on my ls1 intake that i didnt put on my ls6. are those gaskets? will they make a leak like that?? whats the prob?

If it's the foam pieces under the intake they're not gaskets. Something else is going on. Recheck everything, read any codes it may be throwing.

I dont understand why the car is reving so high and dying. Gotta be a vacumm line right? I cant see that i've missed something and i dont have a diagnostic code reader.

Can you hear any sucking sounds? Did you plug in all the injectors back.

and youre not throwing any codes? same situation happened to me, just pull it back off, recheck everything (even the map sensor on the back of the intake) and put it back on, but while its off make sure you didnt break that little plastic hose (cant think of the name for it at the moment) right underneath the map sensor...

hope that helps, but should only take 10 mins now that you have done it before...

There are several things to check. First of all, did you get the correct lines or cut ribs off on the intake? Is the pcv line hooked back up behind the throttle body? Is the brake boster line connected on both ends? Is the map sensor plugged in? Was it torqued down to the correct specs and in the proper order? Were the gaskets in good shape? Are all the sensors hooked back up? Try all that and then report back
